At Starlabs (the parent company of Taperwise, referred to as "we," "us," "our"), we value your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Taperwise app. We comply with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other relevant data protection laws.

a) Signup (Provider or Patient):

  • Account Type (Healthcare provider or patient)

  • Password (Note: Password is sensitive and encrypted for security)

b) Plan Creation (Patient Data):

  • Full Name
  • Email
  • Date of Birth

c) Data for Tapering Plan (Patient Data):

  • Start Date
  • Unit of Medication (e.g., mg, ml, g)
  • Form of Medication (e.g., pill, pump)
  • Strength per Unit
  • Ability to Split Medication into Units and How Many
  • Time
  • Initial Dose
  • Days per Step

This data is used to generate tapering plans and send the plan, including an .ics file for calendar integration. It is stored in our database to enable healthcare providers to follow up on patients and manage their plans.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use the personal data we collect to:

  • Generate and manage tapering plans for healthcare providers and patients.
  • Send plans to patients, including integration with calendar applications.
  • Allow healthcare providers to follow up on patients and edit/manage their plans.

4. Third-Party Services

We use Stripe as our payment processor. Stripe processes payments securely on our behalf. By using Taperwise, you agree to Stripe's Privacy Policy for payment processing.

5. Data Retention

Personal data is stored indefinitely unless a user requests removal. Users can request their data be deleted at any time by contacting us at info@taperwise.com. Data will also be fully removed if the user decides to close their account. There will be no way to restore a closed account.

6. Security of Data

We take the security of your personal data seriously. We ensure that all personal data, including passwords, are securely stored and encrypted in accordance with best practices.
